What stays on your Mac

Clipboard history, screenshots, file search results, the file tray, settings and aliases are stored only on your Mac, in your user Library folder. Secrets are stored in your macOS Keychain. None of this is sent to Nova's server or anyone else.

What Nova's server stores

When you sign in with Google, Nova receives your Google account ID, email address and name. The server stores them with your sign-up date, the date your trial ends, when you last opened Nova, and whether you joined the waitlist. If you join the waitlist on this website, the server stores that email address and the date. Nova asks Google only for your basic profile and email; it cannot read your Gmail, Drive or anything else.

Why

This data is used only to run your free trial, to let you sign in on another Mac, and to contact waitlist members when lifetime access is available. It is never sold or shared for advertising.

Where it is stored

Account data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the United States. Downloads and updates are served from GitHub.

Deleting your data

Email the address below and your account and waitlist entry will be deleted. Signing out of Nova removes your session from your Mac.
